Drei-Kuben-Satz

Satz von Fickett
Für jede Lage zweier überlappender kongruenter [math]\displaystyle{ n }[/math]-Quader [math]\displaystyle{ Q }[/math] und [math]\displaystyle{ R }[/math] mit [math]\displaystyle{ n \in {}^{\omega }\mathbb{N}_{\ge 2}, m:= 2n - 1 }[/math] und dem exakten Standardmaß [math]\displaystyle{ \mu }[/math] gilt, wobei [math]\displaystyle{ \mu }[/math] für [math]\displaystyle{ n = 2 }[/math] durch die euklidische Weglänge [math]\displaystyle{ L }[/math] zu ersetzen ist:

Da das zugrundeliegende Extremalproblem sein Maximum für Rechtecke mit den Seitenlängen [math]\displaystyle{ s }[/math] und [math]\displaystyle{ s + 2d0 }[/math] hat, gilt min [math]\displaystyle{ r = s/(3s - 2d0) \le r \le }[/math] max [math]\displaystyle{ r = (3s - 2d0)/s }[/math].
